Mrs. G

Upper English Teacher

Jaime Gaughan has joined the NWCA teaching staff this year and will be working with our 3rd-5th grade students. She is excited about joining Northwest Chinese Academy and says, “Teaching has been a passion of mine since I was old enough to attend school. In 2010, I graduated Cum Laude from Seton Hall University where I completed a 4-year Bachelor degree program in Education and English. It was during this period that I spent most of my free time volunteering as a lead mentor for students ages 3-13. I also volunteered in El Salvador and Haiti during my spring breaks, as well as an ESL teacher, and advocate for homelessness awareness in my local community. Since college, I have travelled the country three times, worked as a preschool and middle school teacher, and created after school clubs for students in need of social and educational guidance. Some of my favorite things in life are my husband, our two puppies (Bear and Gryffindor), photography, camping, traveling, hiking, reading, teaching and learning. I also LOVE the color green because to me it symbolizes nature and simplicity, and purple because it represents passion! My drive for learning and teaching young minds about life skills and education continues to grow exponentially, and I look forward to working with your young students to enhance their knowledge and creativity.”
